No more classes

Well I had my last class of the semester today just 3 finals next week and then I go home. I don't really have anything new to share with you all but I figured I might as well make another post lest I get accused of not posting enough again. My lighter than air vechile flew on tuesday and we did alright but didn't win this time, and I already took my Air Force, EGR101, and Speech Finals so things or sort of slowing down, except for the physics final I have monday mourning which was my biggest worry out of all my finals. Well I guess that's about it for this post so I'm once again off to bed.

Almost done

Well it's finally the weekend so I have some time to make a post now. There's only one more week of school and then finals left in this semester so life's been kind of crazy this week. I have the net competition for EGR101 due on Tuesday and this one is a lighter than air vehicle, basically it's the same lego set with RC Airplane props attached to the motor and tied to a giant balloon that can fly around and drop ping-pong balls, if anyone takes a picture I'll post it, but I'll finish that up this weekend along with a programming homework assignment and a lot of calc work work, then after that competition and some tests this week, it's finals and then I go home. Other than school life's been pretty good the last couple of weeks. I got to spend more time with family over the time I had off around Thanksgiving than I had in a while, and back up at school it seems like God has been giving me a lot of blessings and encouragements after having a few bad weeks. Well I've rambled on for long enough and I think it's bed time.

An overdue post

well, it's been a while since my last post, things have been busy with school and such but my classes are done with for the week so I'm finally updating my blog. Well I suppose my mother told everyone about my bank acount getting stolen so I spare you all a repeat story there. Other than that I've mostly been doing school work all the time, sometimes I take breaks in which I eat and/or play video games. I know what you're thinking and yes it is hard to handle that much non-stop excitement but I can deal with it so don't worry. I'll be heading home tommorow night for the rest of the week for thanksgiving, obviously I'll be spending time with family and such thursday and then on friday I have the mud-bowl (tackle mud football with the church highschool and college groups) so it should be a fun week with no (well not much) school work. Then back up to prescott for the last couple of weeks of the semester.

Vegoose Festival

As some of you may be well aware last weekend I attended the Vegoose Music Festival with my brother, and my mother. Now I'm sure you less fortunate people who couldn't be there were wondering what exactly it would be like to experience such a show. Well fear not I've brought the experience to you....
As you can see it was a great time and I had a blast (up until the drive home after the show which was far too long for that time a night). So if any of you are ever looking for a good hippy concert to live a similar experience (possibly minus the mother in the crowd) look me up because Airforce engineers are known regulars at these types of events.

5th place

Well, I promised an update after the competition but because I only got 5th place it's not a very interesting update. I guess that's about it for the robot competition 5th out of 90 teams isn't bad I guess, and for all of you that felt compelled to deride my classes becuase we play with legos I'll have you know that our next project isn't just legos we'll be playing with balloons too becuase we're making lighter than air vechiles (note: the vechiles are not actually lighter than air it's the gas contained within the balloon) and if we're good we even get to blow up the balloons for ourselves.

P.S. due to Kyle's poor choice for album of the day I've decided to add an album of the week to my posts because my musical choices are 7 times better than Kyle's

album of the week: A Collection of Songs Representing an Enthusiasm for Recording...By Amateurs - The Flaming Lips

Robot Wars, sort of

Well today was the competition for the lego robots we've been building in my intro to engineering class and I was excited because once you're robot is eliminated you get to leave early and it was my last class so I could go take a nap. First let me explain the competition we had to build a robot that we put in this wooden playing area that was a 3x3 square with five golf lined down the side. The robot had to be program (you can't control it after the match begins) to pick up the golf balls and drop them in a hole in the center. While you're doing this another robot starts in the opposite corner and has the same objective sharing the same hole. So anyway my robot was naturally design to be faster and stronger than everyone elses and hit the other robot hard enough to mess up its course. This strategy was much more effective than I had intended and Broken RCX (that's my robots name cause it's always broken) got first place. So now on thursday I get to compete in the school wide competition and destroy more people's hard work with my evil robot.

Check back on Thursday for the exciting conclusion of the robot wars.

I don't have a title so this shall be called blog 2

Well since I'm getting harrassing messages about not returning phone calls (Leigh) I figure this would be an appropriate time to share some of my day with you all.

My alarm went off at 7:00 as is typical on Wensdays so I got up and started getting ready for class at about 7:40 I went to brush my teeth before class and had gotten a text message just before so I had my phone out and I put it on the counter while the aforementioned brushing was taking place. While I was still brushing my teeth my phone fell (unbeknownst to me) into the one place you wouldn't want it to fall... that's right the toilet. Lucky for me the battery came out so the phone might or my not be ruined, why don't I know? because the battery was flushed down the toilet. As you may have concluded from my story thus far I missed my physics class while trying (alas to no avail) to recover my battery.

After that I had solid class block for about 168 hours, or maybe it was just 7 I can't remember until I had air force lead lab. Today we got to learn some combat skills before marching, this sounds like fun, and might have been exect for that it involved crawling through brush, thorns and other things that would cut one's legs and I have yet to recieve my BDUs so I got to do this in my PT shorts, as you can imagine my legs got cut pretty good.

This blog seems to be going on forever and I have much homework to do so I'll spare you all the details of the rest of my day. Hope you're all doing well (except for maybe Jay).
